June 18–20, 2025
We were in Copenhagen as Diem between June 18–20, 2025. Studio Alliancemeeting took place in a unique atmosphere, perfectly aligned with the city’s globally renowned 3daysofdesign festival This fusion of professional development and creative discovery made the experience truly unforgettable.

Held annually in Copenhagen, 3daysofdesign festivalis an international design festival celebrating innovation in furniture, lighting, architecture, textiles, and sustainability. Spread across the entire city, the festival transforms galleries, showrooms, museums, and public spaces into hubs of inspiration. With insightful talks, immersive installations, pop-up experiences, and networking opportunities, it offers a unique chance to not just view, but truly experience design in action.
On June 18, the inaugural session of Studio Alliance’s new program PlaceXtook place, bringing together experts from 18 European countries to focus on Human-Centric Design.

In the evening, we met for welcome drinks at the office of our Danish member Danielsen.Reconnecting with familiar faces and building new collaborations in a warm atmosphere was truly enjoyable.

In the morning, we had two parallel programs:

3daysofdesign Tour
Starting with a delightful breakfast at Fredericia Furniture’s showroom, the team continued exploring key venues of the festival throughout the day with guided visits, presentations, and networking spots.

That evening, we all met for a traditional Studio Alliance dinner. In a beautiful setting, the night was filled with enriching conversations, knowledge exchange, karaoke, and fun.
On the final day, we continued discovering the city and the many inspiring design spots. It was a great opportunity to soak in the creative atmosphere and connect deeper with the world of design.
We’re proud to be a founding member of Studio Allianceand truly appreciate everyone who contributed to this unique experience. See you at the next gathering!

As architects and designers from Diem, we experienced 3daysofdesign not just as visitors, but through a creative and analytical lens. The following are some of the key takeaways and impressions shared by our design team:

We noticed a clear shift away from product-centric exhibitions toward experiences based on emotion and storytelling. Installations invited the user to engage with the space, creating sensory, immersive moments.
Brands weren’t just showing objects; they were building entire spatial narratives. Even the most minimal setups carried a powerful message when executed with intention.
Warm materials, natural textures, and surfaces that embraced imperfection dominated the overall design language.
The studio store concept at Frama was particularly inspiring. It offered a holistic experience that allowed visitors to feel the soul of the brand, rather than simply observe it.
The reinterpretation of the “old”—blending architectural memory with contemporary touches—was another remarkable trend.
In one panel we attended, a speaker emphasized the power of designs that engage all five senses. We witnessed that approach implemented beautifully throughout the festival.

As Diem’s design team, 3daysofdesign offered us more than inspiration—it challenged us to design spaces that form deeper emotional connections, communicate meaning, and remain memorable through sensory storytelling.
