Project Objectives
BASF has decided to establish an Innovation Centre in Pendik Teknopark in order to develop special solutions for its customers in Turkiye. In this centre; new solutions and studies for customer needs would be carried out in the fields of food solutions, seed solutions, household care and industrial cleaning, personal care, engineering plastics and polyurethane, automotive refinishing paints and construction and industrial paints. Diem Mühendislik Mimarlık was preferred for the construction of this complex structure.

Solutions and Strategies
Within the scope of the project, architectural engineering projects, static architecture, mechanical, electrical and architectural applications were completed on time and within budget by Diem Mühendislik Mimarlık. In addition, reinforced concrete rough construction, steel facade shades, terrace roof manufacturing, all infrastructure and landscaping works in coordination with Teknopark were also implemented by us.

Laboratory buildings, working offices, meeting areas, exhibition area and paint application workshops were brought together. Solutions were produced and implemented according to the requirements of each area. The project adopted the principles of sustainability in accordance with Leed criteria and contributed to obtaining 'Leed Gold Certificate'.

Project Manager Birant Akkuyu expressed his satisfaction with the process by saying, "In this process, a harmonious work was carried out with the project authors and the project was completed with the project and management company in approximately 10 different branches.".

Results

As Diem Mühendislik Mimarlık, we are very pleased to not only create an environmentally friendly structure with the BASF Innovation Centre project, but also to combine sustainability and technology. While our project represents a point where sustainability and innovation come together, we aimed to minimise environmental impacts and ensure energy efficiency by obtaining LEED Gold Certificate. We supported the sustainability vision of our company and BASF with this project, the entire construction of which we completed from start to finish.
