As we mark two special occasions, Earth Day on April 22 and National Sovereignty and Children's Day on April 23, it becomes a moment of joy and learning at Kadriye Mehmet Koparan Elementary School. This year, we took the opportunity to engage our preschool students in understanding and celebrating the importance of environmental stewardship through the simple yet impactful practice of recycling.
Recycling is more than just a habit; it's a commitment to preserving our planet. We believe it's crucial to instill this commitment early on. With the enthusiastic participation of our preschoolers, we dove into the basics of recycling, discussing why we should recycle, what can be recycled, and how each recycled item contributes to the health of our planet.

Our young learners were eager to discover how separating paper, plastic, and other materials can help reduce waste and conserve natural resources. Through interactive discussions and playful activities, they learned how recycling helps keep the environment clean and safe for all living creatures.
To make the day even more memorable, each child received a special gift—a world globe puzzle. This fun and educational tool is not just a toy but a way to spark curiosity about the vast, interconnected world they are a part of. As they pieced together each continent and ocean, the children gained a visual and tactile understanding of the planet they are learning to protect.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the dedicated educators at the school, especially Teacher Sema, whose passion and commitment to environmental education inspire our students daily. Their efforts to create a meaningful learning experience are what made this celebration a success.
We are also incredibly grateful to the parents and community members who continue to support our environmental initiatives. Your encouragement fuels our mission to nurture responsible, knowledgeable young citizens.

As we look forward to more celebrations and learning opportunities, we remain committed to teaching our children the importance of caring for the Earth. The lessons learned and the habits formed today are steps toward a greener, more sustainable future for all.
We invite all children to keep the spirit of Earth Day and National Sovereignty and Children's Day alive every day. Let us all pledge to do our part in protecting our beautiful planet for generations to come.
