Occupational Health and Safety Week is celebrated every year between 4-10 May and aims to raise awareness by prioritising the health and safety of employees. This week is an opportunity to once again emphasise the importance of measures to prevent occupational accidents and occupational diseases.
Fire and First Aid Drill at Diem Engineering and Architecture Office
As we do every year, we, as Diem Engineering Architecture, celebrated the Occupational Health and Safety Week with a fire and first aid drill in our own office. This drill allowed us to test and improve our ability to react correctly in emergency situations. The safety of our employees is one of the most important priorities for us and with such drills, trainings and events, we ensure that we are constantly aware and ready at the same time.
The Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) unit at Diem Engineering and Architecture works very intensively and strictly. One of our primary goals is to keep up-to-date on occupational health and safety issues, to analyse risks and to ensure the safety of our employees and the environment. It works effectively to maintain a safe environment in our workplace and construction sites and at the same time to prevent occupational accidents.

As Diem Engineering and Architecture; while preparing the Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Management plan, we take into account all laws, regulations, European Union directives and developments in this field, especially the occupational safety and environmental laws in Turkiye, and we are based on the scope of continuous improvement. Within this framework, environmental protection and zero waste policies are systematically implemented at construction sites. Environmental drills are planned at the construction sites and it is aimed to instil environmental awareness in all stakeholders we work with.

For a Safe and Secure Future
Occupational Health and Safety Week is an opportunity to promote health and safety in the workplace. This week, employers and employees should be encouraged to raise awareness of occupational health and safety and take the necessary precautions. Simple measures to prevent occupational accidents and occupational diseases are in the interest of both employers and employees.
Let's celebrate this special week by making health and safety at work a priority. Protecting the health and safety of workers is not just a one-week event, but a continuous endeavour. Let us not forget that a healthy and safe workplace means a better working environment for everyone.
