Diem completed the Henkel Güzel project of 4.000 m², which started in 2020 before the pandemic in Tuzla Deri OSB-Istanbul in 2021, and the Henkel Anka project in 2022. Currently, the 1.100 m² Henkel Polyurethane building's reinforcement and fire systems renewal construction is continuing.
Henkel Güzel required a renovation license for the expansion and reinforcement of the existing factory building with steel construction. Although the processes were uncertain with the onset of the pandemic, we, as Diem, played an active role in accelerating the process by undertaking works such as making applications and organizing meetings with the building inspection during the process of obtaining the license. Thus, it was ensured that the overhead costs did not increase and the planned completion time was not further extended despite the delays caused by the pandemic.
The Henkel project is managed by the Henkel construction team, the Diem team and the Entegre project management team. Along with the construction process, work continued in coordination, following the distance and OHS rules, since production at Henkel continued and we were in the pandemic process.
Henkel Güzel has a production-filling area, office space, and staff locker rooms. Henkel Anka has a showroom, lobby, dining hall, laboratory and office areas for displaying new products. There is also an infirmary in the connection building between Henkel Güzel and Anka. In addition to these structures; the transformer, waste building and security cabin were also constructed by Diem. As a result of the two successful projects we have completed with Henkel, we are currently continuing the Henkel Polyurethane building reinforcement and fire systems renewal works as Diem.
